It is with deep regret that we are having to cancel our conference on emotion, medicine and war. We do apologise to any of you who hoped to attend and we will try to reschedule for the summer.
On 1-2 April we will be holding a conference on War, Medicine and Emotion at the National Army Museum in London, generously supported by the Wellcome Trust. We have an exciting line-up of speakers, including Brian Miller and Jessica Meyer, who will be giving keynote lectures. The draft programme is here.
Speakers do not need to register.
Anyone else wishing to attend should register below since numbers are limited:
Students/early career researchers/unwaged: £15
Others: £50
We will also be holding a public roundtable discussion in the evening of 2 April 2020 at the National Army Museum, London. The panel includes historians, surgeons and literary critics such as Michael Brown, Emily Mayhew, Holly Furneaux, Shehan Hettiaratchy, Mick Crumplin and James Kennaway. Together they will discuss major issues related to military medicine and human feelings in history and in the twenty-first-century context, taking questions from the audience.
Everybody is welcome, but since numbers are limited, please register here (for free) in advance.
