From camaraderie and compassion to anxiety and bullying, team-working brings both rewards and challenges for healthcare practitioners.
Organised by the Royal College of Nursing and the Surgery & Emotion project, this one-day workshop will explore the emotional aspects of team-working in the NHS.
The day will bring together different members of the NHS workforce including nurses, surgeons, operating department practitioners, anaesthetists, physicians, and junior doctors. Its primary focus is surgical team-working but it will also consider more broadly the pressures facing those who work in hospitals and other healthcare settings. We will also explore historical perspectives on how experiences of team-working in the NHS have changed over time.
We will have a keynote speaker, themed panels, and breakout group discussions, giving attendees a chance to reflect on their own experiences and to explore possible solutions for improving the challenges facing the NHS workforce.

This event is open to all but booking is required (see link below). It will be of particular interest to those working in healthcare, however we welcome members of the public with an interest in this area.
